I The Maine sono stati recentemente bannati da Twitter (l’account è stato poi ripristinato), ma il quintetto dell’Arizona ha comunque motivo di essere felice, perché ha appena annunciato l’uscita del suo nuovo album.
Less Noise: a Collection of Songs by a Band Called The Maine uscirà il 22 giugno su 8123, l’etichetta fondata dalla band stessa, ed è già disponibile in preorder sul sito del gruppo.
L’idea dietro al disco consiste nel prendere due canzoni da ogni album pubblicato dalla band, e ritrasformarla nella sua versione primordiale, ovvero acustica (come nascono tutte le canzoni della band).
“Our songs start out delicate and naked, hiding behind nothing but an acoustic guitar. What you usually hear on your side of the speakers is an evolved, more noisy version of those same beginnings. Because we can and because we wanted to at 8123 studios, we decided to hand pick two songs from each of our full length albums and peel back some volume to deliver you songs you’ve heard just with less noise. We hope you enjoy however which way you do!”
